An ordinary Thursday morning turned into the worst day of our existence. For 7 minutes straight I administered CPR on my husband waiting for help to arrive. My body goes weak thinking about it. An enlarged heart. Something so preventable with a simple checkup. We had no idea. He was perfectly fine up until the very moment he died. How is that even possible? I can’t help but wonder if her little soul knew. Maybe mine did too. I’m not sure why I was recording us making pancakes at 8am. A few months leading up to his passing I started to record random moments again mostly because of this sadness I felt from how fast life is passing us by. I never thought it could ever be cut this short. I died that day too, the only difference is I’m forced to learn how to live this life that I have no desire to live without him in it. My girls deserve their dad. He was hands down the absolute best dad & husband to walk this earth. I wish I was exaggerating. He truly was. And he deserves to be here. We hated being away from eachother even if it was just a few hours. Now it’s almost been a year and I do not know how I’m still breathing. Don’t take a second of your life or the people in it for granted. You never know when it’s going to be your last. #enlargedheart #awareness #cardiomegaly SIGNS: https://www.myocarditisfoundation.org/signs-and-symptoms-that-may-point-to-an-enlarged-heart/ CPR: https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/cpr/performing-cpr/cpr-steps?srsltid=AfmBOoraCzVKQ6O4fxtLdrQQz5Lvm90ZGzr3dZJqWghnysX4UPEHyWwH
