Ummm sounds like you’re gonna spend more time driving than doing anything, but would recommend Stone Mountain in Georgia, Outer Banks North Carolina, Nantahala Park and Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, Shakespeare Center in Staunton Virginia, Seafood in Annapolis Maryland.

Eight states in 10 days?! I think that you should rent an RV and you'll probably have to spend no more than 1 day per state. It's further than you might think! 😄

I’m biased, I’ll admit-but you could spend 10 days just visiting mountain towns in Colorado alone. I guess for more bang for your buck you can definitely hit more states in New England-also gorgeous up there with great seafood

If you go through West Virginia, go to the new river gorge national park and go for a great hike. The bridge is so high that you could put two statues of liberty and the Washington monument under it. For context, that’s a normal size bridge close to it.

Talk to people along the way. Your best experiences will likely be unplanned on the recommendation or invitation of friendly locals. RV’s are too limiting. Difficult to drive, park, set up, dump waste, etc. Rent an SUV and stay at hotels with a 4.5 star rating or better. Enjoy your holiday here on the eastern seaboard!

You’re in America… Eight states in 10 days is a lot of driving, and probably not enough time to give you to do much. I’d say take maybe 2-3 States that are close enough to drive through and enjoy.

You wont get to know any state that quickly. You might have time for a few touristy places.

Like a lot of the other comments you’ve received, it’s distressing to hear that you plan to see so many states in that amount of time. I hate to say it but you’re doomed before you even start.

RV is my thought, however if you are really going 8 states in 11 days. Just rent a car because driving is all you will have time for.

I hope you have a safe trip. I’m so happy you’re having your friends coming. RV is the way to enjoy it the most. I think.

Have a sub in Wilmington, Delaware on your way to PA. Cassapula is the best in Elsmere, a suburb on your way.

Just curious - fellow UK citizen here. How are you getting 10 days off to travel as over here we’re told in the US you get maybe 5/6 holidays a year?
