First, the linguistic turn in philosophy systematically reduced all human creativity to mere acts of semantic recombination. With such a metaphilosophical outlook, the first connectionist neurons ("perceptrons") sought to reduce vision (qua computable) to a binary relationship between accepted tokens of a type in a given dataset and any novel token. This epistemic work decimated creativity as a novel human action, placing it within the purview of the statistician and computer scientist. Second, the role of art in reproducing ideology is a likely "just so" story for AI's domination of creative labor. That is, given the ruling class's concern for the simple reproduction of existing labor hierarchies, technology that expedites this reproduction would conceivably be sought after. Drowning in images that continuously reproduce existing relations may, hypothetically, serve this purpose.
