the song just isnt trending anymore so young people will only recognize it if you put the whole thing "somebody come get her, shes dancing like a stripper" but even then i personally dont see how this is a compliment even after you explained it. and just writing "somebody come get her" didnt make me think of the song at all, i also wouldve assumed youre telling the person to get off the internet.

what happened is kids dont know the song anymore, so they dont understand how itd be a compliment they read it as you legit just calling someone a stripper, like calling someone a hoe

I think and I'm guessing, it's like "someone come get yo man" with the implication being come get him he's acting a fool take him home.. Maybe the people who grew up on content with that joke see it like "come get her" means she's acting ridiculous and embarrassing and one of her people need to come get her
