I had no problems after my ACDF surgery, actually I had relief my pain was severe before the surgery.

I had ACDF Surgery C5-C6 2 years ago due to horrible nerve pains radiating down my right arm rib cage and armpit to my ring finger and pinky finger. The Surgery was a success. I did have sore throat and raspy voice and trouble swallowing for awhile. Everything was great until 8 months after. It was found on XRAY my hardware broke. Screws are backed out. I have been having an increase in pain on my left side of neck shoulder blade and shoulder areas. More trouble turning my head to the left. My surgeon said he will repair when I get my. next level done. Sucks.

had done 3 weeks ago. 3 disc. in the beginning trouble swollowing. now pain in back of neck and both neck muscles. nerve ticks in left hand

Be mindful of the life span of the replacement part! They may last only 10 to 15 years. My doctor told me he has not confidence to take out and replace it putting it on the same place. My C5 and C6 is compressing the nerve and I had a very bad back pain. However after second opinion, it is just inflammation that cause the chronic back shoulder pain. Always ask for second opinions.

I had c4/c5 replaced, after surgery I had sore throat, neck pain and some arm pain. As of today I still have arm pain right side, numbness and tingling to the fingers. Hand falls asleep. Still have neck pain with headache starting from the neck area to the top of my head. And my voice has changed in some ways to😞I guess they got too close to the vocal cords . That’s another thing I forgot to mention after surgery, my voice was squeaky like that even my dog was looking confused 😞.

I had the surgery. I had an excellent doctor. I had minimal and I mean minimal discomfort after my surgery. I wore my neck brace. I did everything I was supposed to do and the Healing process. The whole thing has been absolutely wonderful.

Yesssss…. I have all those symptoms. Titanium C3-C6. Through the front. Shoulder to arm pain and also in betwee shoulder blades.

I’ve had my surgery five months ago now my scapulas are still in severe pain, and my left hand is still suffering with a terrible nerve pain☹️

C 4,5,6,7. I had all 3, shoulder pain, score throat and difficulty shallowing. April made one year and everything is well.

تم تركيب قرص معدني بين c6وc5منذ اربع سنوات عندها لم اعاني الا لمدة اسبوع من صعوبة في البلع ثم تحسن الحال بعدها بثلاث سنوات اصبح هماك تضيق في القناة الشوكية فتم زرع قفص بين c5 وc4 وتثببت c6 وc5وc4 بالمسامير عانيت لمدة اسبوع من صعوبة في البلع والكلام والآن بعد ٣٠ يوما مازال هناك الم بسيط في الرقبة اتحسن بسرعة .انا الآن افضل من السابق

I had 4,5,6,7 fused with a disc removed at 4. You will lose turning radius and looking up. Looking down is some loss. Biggest problem besides turning left or right is SWALLOWING!!!! I had to relearn how to swallow again. My muscles would spasm and food would be stuck at back of throat and wouldn’t move. Dr told me it would happen but should get better. It did get better, but not all the way back to normal!!! It’s been 5 years and I still have problems swallowing food, it still will stop and not move. I have to get water and push it down at times. I’ve been close to choking a few times. It is scary, and I always have water when I eat and chew small amounts at a time. Now back to motion, it is still half of what is a normal left or right turn and looking up is half what was normal looking up. Forget looking at something directly above you , you won’t see it. It’s a life changing surgery!!!!

C5-6-6-7 throat, pain, trouble, swallowing and nagging pain in my shoulder blade. Two months later, I have a little bit of shoulder blade pain, but all the rest is gone and I’m doing well.
