It was 100% worth it. I had the best 4 years of my life. I also lived in my sorority house at FSU for 3 years. Our house mom was the bestttt. I was so independent. I worked a ton, 2 majors and a minor plus professional partier 😂. The only real rules we had were no boys upstairs in your room (Ted Bundy killed girls at Chi O so they are sensitive on that) and no booze out. We all drank in the house, you just hid it in your room. I was legit partying 5 days a week easily having a blast. I have no idea how I survived quite frankly. We also had a full cleaning crew and full time chefs… I mean it was amazingggg. You just needed a cool ass sorority.

Sorority House Mom here! I saw the same video and I PROMISE all houses are not like that video. In our home dinner is served from 4:45 PM - 7:00 PM to accommodate work, class, and extracurricular activities. If you can not make dinner during that time, we will make you a Late Plate! Tianna- I personally invite you to dinner at our Sorority House. You will love getting to know the beautiful, smart, fun, independent young ladies who live together in our home. Many follow you and think highly of you. Don’t make judgements from one skewed video. My dinner offer is open to you!

Absolutely worth every penny and every ounce of time, Chi Omega Univ of Oklahoma, 85-89! It’s not about the house being in control of you, it’s about you learning discipline and learning what works and what doesn’t. I was a wild child, it was the eighties, it was absolutely incredible.❤️💛

It’s so scary my friends are in them and they pay so much money they dread going to the events and they get fined if they skip…and they always talk so much trash about other sororities. So shallow and scary!

I wanna say sorority life is different now than it was. I think it was worth it in a sense I was always fed and most of my university was Greek life / sports related things going on! I went to Alabama. Also most of my friends were in diff sororities or not in sororities! The job thing is only real if you make the connections and that’s with everything. Idk what this dinner skirt stuff is either 😂😂😂

That house is an outlier let me tell you! Our mom is a QUEEN and I love sitting at the dinner table with her and hearing her drama! I absolutely LOVE it!

My sorority was way low key compared to others I see. I had a really great experience and learned a lot of leadership skills and interpersonal skills. I have no trauma from my experience, but I also went to much smaller school

I was in one at BGSU and it was worth it! I didn’t live in the house and we didn’t have a cook or a house mom. The house had an RA but you never really saw them much. Certain events and chapter were mandatory and yes you pay fees for certain events but it definitely helped you time management for events, studying, working, and being involved on campus while meeting a ton of different people. For me it was worth it but I believe for the year from 2012-2015 my dues were less than $1k a year too.

Yeah, was super anti sorority. However, for girls that have social anxiety… it’s a life changing experience. It has taught my girls how it make small talk, socialize and make friends when you know no one. Realizing there are some huge benefits for many reasons other than the superficial crap. Personally shouldn’t have knocked it so hard. Not for me. But great for my girls.
