@b1.anton: Turn off the AC button about 3 minutes before you shut the engine, but keep the fan blowing. It dries the evaporator and stops bacteria and mold from building up. Tiny habit, huge difference. #carhack #viralcarhack #autotips #mechanicsecrets #carcaretips

Obviously you don’t live in Texas. Nobody is turning the a/c off for some fake crisis.

You realize that air conditioning removes moisture right? Turning it off before would promote mold and bacteria.

If you leave your A/C on when you shut your car off then don’t be surprised when your A/C stops working out of nowhere lol

And spraying disinfectant into the area where it pulls in air gets rid of the bacteria. Yeah I’m not turning off my ac. I also drive a $100k car, so i haven’t had this issue and its garage kept

If the bacteria can survive the Oklahoma heat, I’m sure there’s no antibiotic that would kill it either.

I'm a mechanic, if you have a plugged a/c drain hose then doing this will prevent water build up that can junk the blower motor and cost an ABSURD amount to repair. If the car is working as intended this is useless

You don’t need to do that, that’s what the evaporator drain is for.
