They were not stuck on the roller coaster. They stopped the ride due to a phone. That's what happens when you pull out a phone on a roller coaster. They stop a ride. And I would know because I stopped the ride.

The ride stopping doesn’t necessarily mean something awful is happening. It could be the ride operators stopping the ride because someone had their phone out, it could be a sensor detecting a hazard like an animal or maybe some loose object that’s in the path of the coaster, etc. Maybe the ride detected an incoming storm and stopped the ride. Think of it this way, if the ride stops, it means the computers are doing their job. If they weren’t, you’d be in trouble.
