As someone that use to be heavily into the lolcow “community” I can say from my experience that many of them are like the lolcows they laugh at or on a thin line of being one. That’s no to mention how they are quick to snake one of their “friends”.

I think that a lot of autistic people are also drawn to these lolcows so they can learn how NOT to be like them, at least for me I watched so many videos of Tyler catastrophe when that whole thing was going on bc he reminded me of the parts of myself I hated the most, and I thought that if I just was less like him I could be better (I’ve since steered away from lolcow culture bc it feels too much like bullying) I feel like this whole culture of “haha look how much worse off this person is” is a fear response for many autistic people
