From our volunteer observations, he walks well on leash and appears tolerant of greets and engagement with the group. Pet has been prescribed Doxycycline for 28 days as part of our new heartworm therapy. Pet is to go home with remaining Doxycycline prescribed. RX: Doxycycline 100mg Tabs – 10mg/kg(Round down) BID x 28 days. Shelter Observation 7/8: BAR, Wagging tail allowed to be pet and walks very well on leash. 7/9: when put hand up to kennel, bares teeth, growls and jumps up. tries to nip through bars. might be due to small space. 7/12: when approaching kennel, His tail was wagging. He was calm, and when i put my hand up kennel door he was licking the door. I put my hand under the door and he was licking my hand. Tail was wagging entire interaction. No showing teeth or growling happened. Volunteer Observation 7/9: Medium Energy, Good Manners, Good on Leash, Social (Dogs/People), Reactive (Inside Only), Barrier Reactive, Wants to Play, Solicits Pets. I was playgroup runner with Django before he had a red square on his card. He is definitely barrier reactive, barking and showing teeth. However, as soon as I took the clip off his kennel he stopped barking, was wagging his tail, and became loose. He walked well to the play yard and did just fine in play group. He liked pets and was a sweetie. Playgroup Observation 7/9: This dog is tolerant, allows greets, and engages with group. PG1-Social/DG-Dainty & Gentle 7/22: A1292482 Delta co house with Django A1292987 7/25: Unable to cohouse due to overwhelming hyperactivity and difficulty steering. Owner Notes 7/8: Django is a 1-year-old male who was found as a stray about six months ago. His finder searched for an owner and attempted to rehome him but was unsuccessful and can no longer keep him. Django is described as a sweet, playful, and joyful dog who loves spending time with people. He has lived with two other dogs, has no reported behavior concerns or bite history, walks well on leash, is potty trained, knows basic commands (sit, come, stay, and no), and has no known medical conditions.
