My daughter has cerebral palsy and cannot speak. I literally had someone tell me my daughter was going to burn in hell because she's "unable to confess with her mouth" and she has the devil in her, or she wouldn't be disabled.

Seriously because tell me why my youth group thought it was a good idea to drop a bunch of 1516 and 17 year-old kids in the middle of New York City and tell them to go preach on the streets we almost got shot. We literally just turned down one random road and we were in a bad Bad bad spot. Like how did they not know that you walk into the wrong place and you start trying to preach that Jesus stuff and you will get shot they are not going to care.

My father is a pastor. I have struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. As an adult I talked about that with my dad, who told me I just didn’t have enough faith. When I fully left the church, both of those struggles almost completely disappeared.
