@subject_shinji: The character I drew just came to life. I turned my own illustration into a moving, talking avatar using two free open-source tools — links in the pinned comment. Still can't control her expressions. She smiles while she shocks me. DAY 16 of building an AI that runs my life. #ai #live2d #vtuber #buildinpublic #indiedev

AI Controlled Home | Shinji :

Tools I used (both free & open source): see-through — splits a single anime illustration into a fully layered PSD automatically (up to 23 layers: hair, eyes, mouth, etc). It's a SIGGRAPH 2026 paper. see-through Anime2.5DRig — drop that PSD into your browser and it instantly becomes a moving 2.5D avatar: blinking, lip sync, hair physics. Workflow: drew her myself → see-through → PSD → Anime2.5DRig → she moves.
