Some people have CLEARLY not seen the movie. There's is absolutely NO racism happening in this movie. Miles isn't supposed to be spiderman because the spider that bit him wasn't from his universe. His universe already had a spiderman. The spider that bit Miles came from another universe because of Kingpin in the first spiderverse movie. Please do your research AND watch the movie before you comment on how this is racist towards Miles when it isn't.

This is gonna sound crazy but I think Miguel is lying to get into Miles head. Miguel is the original anomaly. I guarantee if thereโs a scene in the next one where his device gets knocked off his wrist, heโs gonna glitch too. He went to a verse where he died, aka where heโs not supposed to, therefore he is the original.
