So happy she shared this! I had prepartum psychosis and it was rough, to say the least, but I'm so happy she got through it🫶🏼

As a PMHNP both are very different stories. Lindsey was on a lot of meds and Kelsi was not. Lindsey was at a water park a few days before. Kelsi was not. Please don’t compare the 2.

Not PPP but my mom went through psychosis from medication her voices were telling her to kill me because I wasn’t letting her of want she wanted I don’t know what that was but I had already been in contact with my sister to get her help. She was about to her her hurt me she even had the weapon ready the put her in the hospital on suicide watch for a week. It was hard but a change in medication helped her out.

SSRIs can cause brain damage, leading to akathesia and sui..l ideation. The meds Lindsay endured were horrific and contributed to this tragedy.

Women with the bravery to share their stories will save lives. Thank goodness her coworkers recognized the emergency status of what was happening. Everyone should be aware of these symptoms to watch women around them who may be struggling.

Having severe postpartum depression, changed my life. I am fortunate that because I have OCD and could feel the signs of something terribly wrong, I got help before it progressed into anything worse. This story is so important. She got help and is still here. I am so sorry for any woman who goes through this but especially for those who have to live with the torture and consequences of their actions during their psychosis.

You don’t even know it’s happening until hopefully one day you realize it happened and has been happening for a long time. It was rough but I feel so lucky I was able to find my way out

I had 3 girls in the 70's and no PPP. Horrible daily morning sickness and was prescribed Benedictine. It worked wonders and I could gradually taper down. I still needed one or I was vomiting again. After 3rd baby it was taken off market. I couldn't have cared for other girls without it. No more babies after that. So glad I was blessed to not have mental issues and husband didn't help at all. Back in 70's it just wasn't a thing where Dad's helped. We divorced when oldest was 10.

Thank you for sharing this! What an eye opener from a lady that can relate to PPP and chose to share her terrible experience!🙏🏼She was a normal mother like Lindsey and so thankful she had the right Dr, medication and stayed where she could actually get help ❤️
