Spreading Augustan propaganda on the month of August to show my fascination for Augustus (EDIT, please read): Just to be clear, I DO NOT support the actions of ANY nation who used propaganda for their own benefits, nor do I support the actions of Octavian, especially later in his life. I don’t like how Octavian created a lot of propaganda during his time as an emperor. The only reason for this video is I found it fitting for Octavian to spread something like this, but in a modern format. It was common for Octavian to utilize propaganda to its max, to the point no one truly knew who he was as a person in the end (present day, not during his time). His personal life was concealed through his propaganda and wishes on how he wanted to be perceived to the public. And now for the end of time, no one will really know if the Octavian we know as of today, is really the Octavian he was in his time. (Since every biographies or autobiographies were closely monitored to his liking) and most personal anecdotes of him are gone. I have taken account of other propaganda works as reference, in relation to Octavian, but that doesn’t mean I support the use of it. In the end propaganda is propaganda, and it is not something to romanticize over, especially if it’s to promote certain things many people are hidden away from, and to glorify horrid actions or people, as many have done in wars like ww1/ww2, and the Cold War. I apologize if this has offended any individual, and that is not my intention. I only hope to create works based on my interests, and no, I do not always support the actions of people in my interests. And if this video has some effect on you, then the propaganda worked (that is how propaganda works).
