@david_nature_africa: One of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth is the Great Wildebeest Migration. After spending several months in Kenya's Maasai Mara, the herds begin their journey back into Tanzania, driven not by a calendar, but by rainfall and the search for fresh grass and water. The return journey usually begins around late October to November, when the short rains start falling across the Serengeti ecosystem. As new green grass emerges in the northern and central Serengeti, the wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move south from the Maasai Mara.
