PREVAIL GROUP BRINGS LIFE-GIVING WATER TO MANICALAND PROVINCIAL HEROES ACRE AHEAD OF HEROES DAY In a timely and highly commendable intervention, Prevail Group of Companies, under the chairmanship of ZANU PF Central Committee Member and Presidential Advisor on Investments and Empowerment Across All Regions, Dr Paul Tungwarara, has drilled a borehole at the Manicaland Provincial Heroes Acre under the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme, bringing a lasting solution to a prolonged water challenge at the sacred shrine. Two 5,000-litre water storage tanks where also installed, providing a combined storage capacity of 10,000 litres and ensuring a reliable water supply at the Provincial Heroes Acre. For quite some time, the shrine had been without adequate water, creating serious challenges in maintaining the grounds and providing essential water services during burial programmes. The intervention therefore comes as a major relief, restoring a critical resource needed to preserve the dignity, cleanliness and appearance of the resting place of the province's departed heroes and heroines. The timing could hardly be more significant. With Heroes Day just a week away, the borehole development demonstrates the importance being placed on maintaining the Provincial Heroes Acre and ensuring that the shrine is adequately prepared for commemorations honouring the sacrifices of Zimbabwe's liberation heroes. This latest intervention adds to the growing footprint of the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme, through which Prevail Group of Companies has drilled numerous boreholes across the country, bringing water closer to communities and institutions. In Manicaland, the company's contribution has gone even further, with Prevail Group having handed over a borehole drilling rig and compressor to the province's War Veterans, strengthening their capacity to undertake water development initiatives while creating opportunities for sustainable empowerment. Under the leadership of Dr Paul Tungwarara, Prevail Group continues to demonstrate a development-oriented approach anchored on practical interventions that respond directly to community needs. At the Manicaland Provincial Heroes Acre, the sound of the drilling rig represented more than the search for underground water — it represented action, development and enduring respect for the heroes and heroines whose sacrifices helped shape Zimbabwe. WATER HAS COME TO THE SHRINE OF OUR HEROES — A TIMELY DEVELOPMENT, A LASTING LEGACY!
