Typically Netflix documentaries will layout all the evidence in a case then give you the prosecution's beliefs on what happened and then it tells you what the defense claims..... Not this one,the very beginning of episode 2 started with the same old lies and bullshit rhetoric..it's very upsetting because an innocent you man is sitting in prison while vicious murderers are out living life and being someone's neighbors..

Absolutely 2 seperate unrelated events. M and K planned. E and X not planned. 2 seperate sets of killers. Each set knows about the other as it all accumulated at the house. Hence the heavy silence all round. Each scared the other will spill the truth. Dylan and Co in on M and K. Pete Hunter and Emily in on E and X. Cops involved but think its over M and K. But they had to also protect E and X killers cos they saw them. This was never a planned lets kill 4 people on one night and hope to get away with it. That's why took so long to call 911. Heavy story telling and clean up. If it was planned it was way to sloppy and timelines would not really as matter much.

IMO, the new doc was released to control the narrative among casual watchers that will be easily manipulated into believing whatever they want. And I don’t think there was any intention of releasing it till all of the amazing minds on the internet started getting too close to finding actual truths in the mess. There were inconsistencies in stories that really surprised me based on the sources in the second doc.
