this is not about the time it takes it's the feeling of having been mentally imprisoned to always consider someone's feeligns about how ACCESSIBLE you are, especially when you have things going on. i understand why people get anxious, i do too, but it's because of past experience where inaccessibility was weaponized as punishment or a hot/cold dynamic. sometimes people really be fuckn busy or overwhelmed and to force them to manage YOU while they're at it is insane

Literally had my partner tell me to "stop being so controlling" because they told me they were just dropping something off at their mums (5 minute walk away) and would be back as soon as possible. 30 minutes later I called them to find out they hadn't even left yet. I'm not mad at them chatting with their mum, I'm annoyed that they didn't bother to text or tell me, and left me waiting outside for half an hour. Apparently I'm overdramatic and controlling
