Last year, we made a big decision: We shifted our focus from startups to scaling businesses. Why? Because scaling businesses are the people we work best with. They have the systems, teams, and resources to implement our strategies—meaning we can drive bigger results for them. So, we changed our content strategy to connect with them. However, we launched digital products for freelancers and aspiring SMMs during this pivot. This created a mismatch in our audience: 🚫 Scaling business owners weren’t interested in those courses. 🚫 Startups (our current audience) felt left out and disconnected from our content. As a result: ❌ Our engagement dropped—our content wasn’t hitting either audience. ❌ Inquiries stopped—our ideal clients couldn’t find us. ❌ We lost visibility—we were no longer showing up on the Explore page. At first, we thought: It’s fine. We don’t chase vanity metrics anyway. Then it hit—our ideal clients couldn’t even find us! So, we paused and reflected. We decided to do these moving forward: ✅ Blend the old with the new. We’re bringing back what worked since 2022 while keeping our new strategy for scaling businesses. Newbies, startups, and scaling businesses will ALL be served! ✅ Cross-post on LinkedIn and YouTube to increase visibility. ✅ Tweak our engagement and lead generation strategies—this time, laser-focused on our ideal clients. ✅ Nurture through storytelling and sell more with email marketing. Our major takeaway from this: 👉 Analyze. Tweak. Adapt. Always. This is the messy middle of growth— and we’re here for it. 💪 Have you ever had to pivot your strategy? We’d love to hear your experience below. ⬇️ #socialmediamarketing #socialmediamanager #socialmediastrategy #socialmediastrategist #socialmediatips #socialmediagrowth #socialmediaagency
