I hate homophobia; I hate with all my soul having been born into a family that can't accept you for something as normal as loving someone. Every day, I try to ignore the nasty comments I hear "You're a woman," "Are you attracted to bread?" from so many people I know; barely four of them respect my correct pronouns. Out of all my family members, only one would accept me; the rest would hate me and look at me with disgust if they found out about my identity and sexuality. I hate that my school claims to be respectful and preaches mutual respect, yet the counselors,who are supposed to support and help students but they do the exact opposite. My whole damn school is homophobic; they used to hold talks about respecting LGBT people, but they stopped. Why? Because of all the homophobic comments from the students. This has been really hard for me; I just want to be accepted someday

My family is homophobic. I had an uncle who was judged as a teenager, so I had to distance myself from my family because of it. I just sometimes wish they would accept me for who I am.
