Do yalls husband not come home and take over? I am up before everyone 5:30am, work nonstop all day, then get home around 5pm, wife gets off kid duty, I take kids out swimming, run errands with them, homework during school year, cook dinner (75% of time) and put kids to sleep other than the one that is nursing.

My wife gets up at 8:30 and is off duty at 5:15 when I get home. I handle all the night time responsibilities and also give her weekends off.

its actually more than 98 hours. we dont get weekends off, we are on call 24 hours a day. we probbaly pulling closer to 150 hours a week

Add in being a single mom and working 40+ hours a week at a regular job… I’m definitely exhausted. I think being a mom in general is a difficult challenge and as long as we’re doing our best that’s all that matters.

Everyone in the comments is debating who has it harder, but can we just acknowledge that life is exhausting for most people? Whether you’re raising one child or five, working, going to school, trying to maintain friendships, or simply keeping up with everyday responsibilities, it all takes time and energy. We all have the same 24 hours, but we don’t all face the same circumstances. It doesn’t have to be a competition—everyone’s struggles are valid.
