@birdlifemalta: BirdLife Malta helps all wild birds that need our assistance. But what about baby sparrows found on the ground? In many cases, they are not injured or abandoned. Young fledglings naturally leave the nest as they learn to fly, while their parents continue to care for them nearby. If they are in a safe place and not in immediate danger, the best thing to do is leave them where they are. If you find a wild bird that is injured, exhausted or genuinely in need of help, contact BirdLife Malta for advice.
