it took me almost a year to stop flinching every time his name popped up somewhere. nobody hands you a manual for the after part, so i made my own the hard way. these are the 4 things that actually gave me my sense of safety back. • stopped calling myself crazy for replaying everything, my brain was just trying to protect me • gave the 3am spirals somewhere to go instead of lying there drowning in them • quit digging for one more answer, certainty was never coming • let healing mean the memories losing their grip, not disappearing which one are you stuck on rn? for me it was no.3, i could not stop searching. #betrayaltrauma #infidelityrecovery #healingafterbetrayal #cheating #emotionalhealing
