I don’t really know how to put into words what you mean to me, because somehow “I love you” has never felt like enough. On September 29, 2025, I married you. I knew I loved you then, I knew I wanted you to be my husband and that I wanted to spend my life with you. But I don’t think I fully understood what it would actually mean to build a life with you. Now I do. I know what it feels like to come home to you after a long day. I know the way we can make each other laugh over the stupidest things. I know the little things about you that nobody else notices. I know your good days and your bad ones. I know the version of you that everyone else gets to see, and I know the version of you that only I get to see. And somehow, knowing all of that has only made me love you more. I love the life we’re building together. Even when it’s messy or stressful or nothing like what we pictured, I still wouldn’t want to be doing it with anyone else. I love that our life is ours. Our little routines, our adventures, our big bad dog, the places we go, the memories we’ve made, and even the completely ordinary days that probably wouldn’t mean anything to anyone else. Those are some of my favorite days. Sometimes I look at you and it honestly hits me that you’re my husband, the person I get to come home to, the person I get to annoy for the rest of my life, the person I get to make memories with, grow old with, and experience all of the weird, exciting, hard, and beautiful parts of life with. And I don’t ever want to become so used to having you that I forget how lucky I am. I know marriage isn’t always going to be perfect. We’re going to have hard days. We’re going to disagree. We’re going to change as we grow up and figure life out. But I want you to know that even when things aren’t easy, I still want you. I still choose you. I still want to work through it with you. I don’t need a perfect life. I just want our life. I want more mornings beside you, more late nights laughing until we can’t breathe, more stupid little arguments that we eventually laugh about, more adventures, more pictures we take and forget about, more places we’ve never been, more dogs, more memories, and eventually a whole lifetime of looking back at everything we built together. I want to grow old with you. And if I could go back to the day I married you knowing everything I know now. knowing every hard day, every good day, every laugh, every memory, and every version of us that got us here. I would still choose you every single time. I love you more than I did when I married you, and I hope that’s something I get to say every day for the rest of our lives. Thank you for being my person. Thank you for loving me the way you do. I married you once and I’d marry you a thousand more times. I love you.
