would rather watch 2 years of injury prone Ronaldinho more than 10 years of salah. but when the levels are similar like robben and salah then longevity and availability matters

for this specific situation ghosting is way worse, if you’re injured its next man up its beyond you. if you’re ghosting you’re an active detriment

If a person is always injured at SOME POINT it docks them i believe this goes for every sport, especially when talking about careers because availability is the BEST ability

availability is the best ability and if you are constantly injured it will stain your career. Now thats not to say that an injury prone player cant be a brilliant player or have a brilliant career however if they are missing 10-20 games per season then they cant be rated as highly as someone with similar performances but plays every game.

I think In general we're too lenient when it comes to rating injury prone players, like beyond that if you look at Neymar's entire psg career he's been off the pitch more than he's been on it, as phenomenal of a player as Neymar was (and still is) I think we should be a bit harsher when rating him as a player

I’m sorry but this might’ve been the WORST example to pick. Not only was Neymar unplayable in that World Cup with 5G/A in 5, not only was his injury inflicted by the opposition (damn near paralyzed him btw) Brazil completely fall apart in the semi final and 3 place match without him. You could apply his injury tally to his club career but not that World Cup man..horrendous cherry pick

I mean if we look at injury-prone dembele who already has a ballon'dor while there mbappe who barely has a champions league. The difference is that even if you are injury-prone you can still come back on the pitch and make a huge difference rather than someone who ghosts

Judge Neymar because someone broke his back?😭 I’d get it if it’s a hamstring or a muscle but they broke his back….

You can ghost and still get a G/A to change the game. Its actually such an underrated skill. But always being injured means you can't even give yourself that chance. So im more critical of injuries. Guys like Neymar, Robben, Dembele (before PSG), Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita...
