@melissajbyrnex: Captured by our eldest girl, there were a few comments about it being ‘performative’ You cannot perform a love like this. You wouldn’t catch me asking for it to be captured to then turn on a different side. Social media brings a lot of good but also gives off the impression that anything recorded is for ‘show’. To be performative. & yet we’ve completely forgotten about capturing memories just because. I’m so grateful that my eldest stepdaughter picked up my phone to capture these moments. Not because I asked her to, because it was worth having. & any indication that it’s all for show, tells me that social media is seen as fake, even when it’s at its most authentic. We should be capturing the moments & the memories regardless. Our phones are full of them. Just because we want to share that love with the world, doesn’t make it any less real. Celebrate you, each other & love wherever you go. And how lucky are we that we can share it with the world too 🫶🏼
