Both times they were betrayed. It is time to accept that the dream of a unified Somalia is dead. 2. Reclaim Sovereignty - Under international law, the sovereignty of a people who were forcibly subjugated and illegally conquered does not necessarily extinguish. The Majeerteenian people were never conquered by treaty. Their sovereignty was stolen-it can be restored. 3. Build Majeerteenia - Puntland is not a "regional state." It is the territory of the former Majeerteenia. It has a functioning government, a constitution, democratic institutions, a military, and economic resources. The only missing element is international recognition. That can be achieved. 4. Never Waste Energy on the South Again - Southerners have proven they cannot be trusted. They have proven they cannot govern. They have proven they cannot build peace. Majeerteenians have spent 60 years trying to help them. It is time to stop. 5. Build the Republic of Puntland - Puntland must declare itself the independent Republic of Puntland, representing the Majeerteenian nation.
