looking for advice on weight gain! my sweet baby boy was born 8lbs 3oz at 5 days old he was down to 7lbs 4oz while milk came in. at 3 weeks old he was 8lbs and at 1 month and was 8lbs 8oz. he is exclusively breastfed and i am worried about his weight (mostly because the pediatrician is making me anxious). he is consistently gaining between .75-1oz daily. he is now 9lbs 1oz at 6 weeks old. should i start supplementing with formula or keep going? feeling discouraged

You reposted a video about tongue ties, I'd love to hear some insights from you! My son is 8 weeks, latches fine, hitting all the "curves" -- a tongue tie was noticed at last Peds appt and i was told to consider releasing it. It is causing his tongue to be somewhat heart shaped or have a ripple in the middle. I'm torn. 😭

my almost 3 month old EBF baby used to take a bottle easily, we worked up to 2 a day, and now he cries just looking at it. i have to go back to work soon and we keep attempting bottles but he wont take them :( he nurses just fine im just worried he wont eat when my mom watches him. anything we can try or will he just eventually adapt?

Flow rate of Lansinoh extra slow nipple vs evenflo nipples
I had been using the Lansinoh bottles to feed my baby and switched out the slow nipples for their newer extra slow nipples cause I was told Lansinoh nipples are pretty fast. My baby seemed to be taking it well. However, we went to a lactation consultant who stated he might have a tongue tie, some neck tension, and needed to strengthen his tongue which is why he wouldn’t hold a good latch on me. She recommended the even flow standard neck bottles with the slow nipple. She said it’s suppose to help strength his tongue strength and she says these are suppose to be slower flow than the Lansinoh’s. However, I did some research and it seems the Lansinoh’s newer extra slow nipples are slower cause it’s meant for premies. Also feel like he’s taking in some air when he uses the even flow cause i can hear him suck air in sometimes. I pace fed him. what do yall think? should I go back to the lansinoh bottles or stick to the evenflo. I hate the fact that i just bought these evenflos and i’ll be out $50 for them not to work

What about pacifiers? I ordered the Ninni for my EBF baby and she is 1 month and it is so soft that my baby hasn’t figured it out yet, but I give her the advent classic paci and she does hold it but onky for 1 min

I’m on the slowest nipple on an avent bottle. My 8 week old clicks, swallows with every suckle and gets choked often. I’m at a loss. The dr. says he is fine. No tongue tie. But he is also a bad latcher. But again the dr. says he is fine because he is gaining weight

Does the triangle test on a nipple actually matter?
