This is my theory: we already know everyone still remembers Spider-Man because Doctor Strange's spell only erased Peter Parker from everyone's memory, not Spider-Man himself. So Ned would still remember everything he did with Spider-Man, including their special handshake. Even though Peter didn't have his mask on in that scene, he was still wearing the Spider-Man suit. After the spell, Ned's memories would be rewritten so he remembers doing the handshake with Spider-Man, but not that Spider-Man was Peter Parker. Then, when Spider-Man is about to leave to go after Jean and MJ says, "Peter, be careful," Ned reacts because he's realizing Spider-Man's name is Peter. He's connecting the name Peter to Spider-Man, not remembering Peter Parker. To me, that's how he still remembers the handshake in the end—because he never forgot Spider-Man, only Peter Parker.

He got to have remembered because it’s like he switched back to how he was when they first met. Like the attitude and the tone in the voice. Also he shakes his head which I feel could’ve been the spell wearing off. Which it may have also wore off because Ned already has some type of magic inside of him.

Guys how about the theory is just that since ned has “magic powers in his family” yk since he opened portals like strange and stuff. How about he just needed a reminder and he has his memories because he can also control it
