Garden of the gods sure doesn't take a whole day. Especially this time of year. In the heat you may make it an hour or two. Helen Hunt Falls isn't on the way up to Pikes Peak. I would hit that to cool off after GOG. As a local - my advice. 😁

Garden of the Gods and Manitou. Bring money for the Arcade. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Helen Hunt Falls. Evening Sky Sox game. Old Colorado City. And as annoyingly expensive as it is I would take the Cog railway and get to the top of Pikes Peak. Cripple Creek. The Airplane museum. food is adequate but the pictures are priceless
