Today, I had the chance to sit down with Kathleen and her family again. While we talked, she mentioned that she just didn’t want to cry. I understood exactly what she meant because hearing her story brought back memories of my own father who passed away years ago. For a moment, I had to lock in and be present for her because I knew this wasn’t just about my story. It was about hers.
