I’m a modern day homemaker which just means I manage our home (I also outsource task like cleaning and cooking) & I’m cute with it😂🩷! Here are a few ways that I create and calm and peaceful atmosphere in our home. We are the first line of defense, so I always start with prayer and The Word & ask God to help me make home a refuge for me and our family. He’s been doing it since my kids were little, I know it works🥹. Then I focus on the aesthetics. Here are just a few focusing on SMELL. •Make sure your space is clean especially the bathrooms. I pour a little Mr. Clean in my toilets at night. •Cook delicious meals or order great meals •Open the windows and air your home out •If you have carpet, make sure it’s cleaned regularly •Fresh flowers- my fave •Stove simmer pots •Displaying eucalyptus in a vase⬇️ •Use candles all around your home •Clean or throw out anything that may be contributing to an unpleasant “house” smell such as the fridge, trash can, old food, old dishrags & sponges. • If you have front loading washer clean the spout😩. •Wash the dirty laundry •Use calming essential oils (Lavender, Clary Sage, Chamomile, Bergamot etc) rooms sprays or plugins •Use an air purifier. I love ours! •Use house plants •Change the filter’s in your home regularly •Bake something on the regular - I cannot do this! I love sweets too much😂.
