It is not allowed anymore to put your bag on the Seat next to you in the train. You have to hold it on your knees or put it in somewhere “safe”. That’s now exactly the problem. I knew this would happen after they introduces this new rule for train travelers with a bag!

Cable bicycle locks, you can lock your bags together if in a group and attach them to the racks, make sure everyone in your party has a key, you have multiple keys, your bags aren't blocking others from getting their bag, and you have the key out and ready when your stop approaches. It has worked well for me so far. We have used them while we wait too in busy places so someone can't run by and grab it.

Broooo!! Your video just gave me flashbacks anxiety. November 2023 was day of my life . Happened to me at Amsterdam Sloterdijk station my bag was gone winthin a twinkle of an eye . Passports clothes bank cards. The only thing i had on me was my phone. The Netherlands is a great country but be careful with pick pockets.

We were just there. We got on the trains daily and had zero issues. Be aware of your surroundings and keep your personal items close and you’ll be fine
