Tama! Also, why do we praise foreigners who speak our language with an accent, but put down our fellow Filipinos when they speak a foreign language with an accent?? Kailangan talaga mag-shift ang mentality natin. Our language, our accent is part of who we are. I am glad Alex, SB19, Alamat, others with a platform are raising the Filipino flag proudly. THIS is the representation I wish I had growing up.

Alex is so right. As a filam , I and many filams are trying to learn Filipino or even Tagalog. But the resources are so limited and many people want to speak taglish nowadays.

kami nasa ibang bansa nakatira pero ang rules namin sa bahay or pag kami kami magkakasama mag anak dapat tagalog. hindi dapat mawala ang tagalog kasi hindi mo pwede tanggalin kung sino ka talaga

I love that she does this and continues to make a point to commit to tagalog. I feel like filipinos overlook how quickly language can be lost. it truly only takes 1 generation, and I'm a prime example of that. yes, I understand tagalog but I never felt forced to speak because my parents would speak in tagalog and I would respond in English. now as an adult I still have a fear of trying to speak that I need to overcome.

My eldest can understand Tagalog but he can’t speak Tagalog. Of course he’s fluent our language which is Bisaya.
