@nayswav: MIDI guitar has a reputation for being unrealistic, twangy, and genuinely unusable. Producers usually avoid them, but I found that a certain VST works really well, especially with distortion and high gain. This effectively removes a lot of the small-but-noticeable details that make guitar plugins notoriously bad. This solo was an example of a decent sounding solo using Shreddage 3 Stratus (Paid), taking advantage of features like vibrato and picking modes. #shreddage #midiguitar #flstudio

Tip! If you remove the default distortion, stack effects on it (specifically an amp sim) That will make it sound more natural. Also just velocity changes and dequanization

The 2 problems I can hear in all midi guitars, is that they are too perfect timing wise and that you can’t properly do hammer ons and pull offs.

I use Odin 3, its extremely well made and you can customize many aspects of the guitar sound and stuff.

it sounds like a midi guitar but honestly I prefer songs with midi guitars (especially this one because it sounds in-between a real one and midi)
