@dietitianwendie: Stage 0 wasn’t the end of my story. It was the beginning of one I never saw coming. Six months later I had a recurrence, cancer in three locations, a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, an invasive tumor found on pathology, and a year of targeted therapy. That’s why I gently push back when people say, “It’s just Stage 0.” Stage tells you something important. It doesn’t tell you everything. If your cancer journey became more complicated than anyone expected, you’re not alone. ❤️ #breastcancer #dcis #stage0breastcancer #breastcancersurvivor #cancerrecovery

My cousin chose a lumpectomy had chemo and radiation. We buried her last week. 6 weeks ago I had a double mastectomy and I’m about to start radiation. I personally feel a double mastectomy is the only way to go

Stage 0, didn’t clear margins. Went in again 2 weeks later, didn’t clear margins. Had a mastectomy and DTI. Stage 1a. I chose not to do chemo. I was told it wouldn’t benefit me much - maybe .5-1%. My heart is hugging yours 💖

At the beginning of my cancer journey, I was diagnosed which stage 0 breast cancer. I chose to do a lumpectomy. To later find out they missed several other spots on the same breast and those spots changed my diagnosed to triple positive breast cancer HER2, estrogen and progesterone positive. I hear you we need to be our own advocate and here I am 19 years later. I chose to have a lateral mastectomy only took my right side breast and praise be to God I am still cancer free 19 years later. 🙌🏻🩷🙌🏻

💯. Diagnosed with DCIS stage 0 in June 2025. Started with talk of lumpectomy. Decided I wasn’t leaving anything to chance and had double mastectomy in September. Tried expanders and implants. 5 surgeries later, I Went flat three weeks ago. No version is easy. The roller coaster of emotions you go thru aline is beyond anything you can imagine. Here’s to you and healing vibes my friend 💜💜💜

Thank you for sharing your story. I just went to the surgeon today after my lumpectomy and got the same diagnosis, same “good” prognosis. Will be starting radiation soon. I can’t help the creeping feeling that this is just the beginning.

I was also diagnosed with stage 0 dcis HR and PR positive grade 2. I had my lumpectomy and everything came back clear and I have felt really positive until I saw your video and these comments! It is so scary!

I had stage 0 and had a lumpectomy and it was very low so chemo or radiation wouldn’t do anything. I go in every six months to see my dr and get a mammogram and ultrasound. I’ve got three years off this. Praying for healing for all women.

Unfortunately, I am very upset about this too. I was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer. I am currently undergoing treatment, and everyone—including the doctors—keeps saying it will be very easy. No, it isn't easy. I hate it when people say that.

This is what my wife was told earlier this year. It was the easiest best cancer could get After two surgeries of removing all the cancer she is now having a double mastectomy in a week. very frustrating for all of us. I am just praying all of the cancer will be removed

I had stage 1 breast cancer and had 6 months chemo, 3 weeks radiation, lumpectomy and now a pill daily for 5 years that has many side effects, I feel like this will never end. I was very healthy for a 72 year old, taking no medication, now if I refuse to not take the pill, the oncologist says without the pill I will be getting cancer again🤨

Yes I like the way they say easy. I have to go every 6 months still. I’m seriously thinking they are not worth to keep as now I have cellulitis. Something keeps coming up!
