@truecrime.junkiee: Lars Joachim Mittank, a 28-year-old German man, disappeared on 8 July 2014 in Varna, Bulgaria, during a holiday at the Golden Sands resort. After arriving on 30 June, Lars claimed he had been attacked following an argument with German football fans, suffering an ear injury. On 7 July, doctors diagnosed him with a ruptured eardrum and advised him not to fly. His friends returned to Germany, while Lars stayed behind, received the antibiotic Cefprozil (Cefzil 500), and spent the night at the Hotel Color. During the night, he made worrying calls to his mother, saying something was wrong, asking her to block his credit card, and claiming four men were following him. The next morning, a taxi took him to Varna Airport, where he planned to return home. At around 9:00 a.m., after entering the airport doctor’s office, an unidentified man briefly entered the room. Lars suddenly panicked, ran away, and left behind his passport, phone, wallet, luggage, and belongings. Security footage showed him fleeing the airport, climbing a fence, and disappearing into a nearby sunflower field. No one was seen following him. Despite extensive searches and investigations, no trace of Lars Mittank has ever been found. Theories include a possible psychotic episode, a reaction to medication, an accident, or foul play. my boyfriend received a medication that made him have hallucinations, after one hallucination he stopped the trestment. and I have read that this boy also was under medication due to the lession he had, probably medication has to do with that.

This was deep dive covered by Cold Case Detective and Lazy Chill Zone on youtube. You’ll find the Cold Case Detective deep dive faster, they dedicated a whole episode to him. The gist was that someone’s presence at the station triggered him to bolt, but it was after he had gotten in a physical altercation and was left behind by his friends due to the fact that he was unable to travel as a result of this physical altercation. They put them on medication because I think something happened with his ear, and they didn’t want it to get infected or it got infected and he had to take antibiotics? So that caused a delay, but he suspected problems at his hotel and his paranoia just kept getting worse. I don’t know if it was just paranoia or if it was being provoked by things that were happening around him. I highly recommend you check out the cold case detective episode. It is very thorough.
