Batteries will develop and to replace them will be cheaper, i would wait another 5 years before buying a EV. You can put a lot of fuel with 400K, even a 100K.

The question that you do not ask, is where does the old battery go to? The environment is going to suffer. And that is the very reason that the EV came out; to save the environment.

The older batteries are expensive to replace but I think technology has moved forward, I expect to see battery prices coming down. We already see EV with lower prices compared to early generations when EV where extremely expensive.

People have thought of it! I hate to be the person saying this, but the market the high end EV appeals to, those people do not intend on keeping those vehicles beyond the warranty term. Now, I get that those vehicles will be sold to others who will potentially have to carry the cost of any future repairs but they will know exactly what they are getting themselves into at that time, just like you know now exactly what youre getting yourself into when buying any used vehicle. Electric is the future here in SA and there are advancements every month towards better batteries etc. We need to embrace it. The fuel companies have us completely cornered and even if the price of fuel goes up 200%, we cannot do anything but pay for it. Atleast with electricity, we can generate it through solar if there ever comes a time when it is too expensive or unavailable for whatever reason
