@andersonfarms.emily: Tiny Roo loves my horse, Norbit. 🧡 One thing about Norbie… he has always had a soft spot for babies. He’s had a rough life and doesn’t trust just everyone, but when it comes to our calves, he’s the gentlest soul. He’s patient, careful, and somehow always seems to know they’re little. I know some people will say you should never let a calf behind a horse, and that’s generally good advice. But I also know my horse. This isn’t the first, second, or even tenth time he’s been around calves. They’ve grown up alongside him for years. They’ve tried to nurse on him. They’ve tucked themselves behind him just like Roo does… and he has never so much as even moved a leg. More than once, I’ve walked out to the pasture to find all the mama cows gone while Norbit stayed behind babysitting the calves. Animals know. And I think Roo knows she found herself a best friend. 🧡

Years ago now but once I lived on a farm for almost 23 yrs & my father n law had cattle & horses & we would take care them all well a beautiful auburn haired horse Zanzie she was amazing I could ride her pregnant no saddle & the baby calves would do that with her & she loved it, when you know your animals you know how they will react 🥰
