Original story:
A dad was angry about wait times and asked me for a shovel. All confused, I repeated, “A shovel?”He said, “Yes, a shovel, so I can bury my kid right here since she'll die waiting anyways.”She had only been waiting 2 hours for a 99.1° temperature.

Having recently been to the ER, my worry spiked when I was called back less than 10 minutes after arriving, when there were already 20 people in the waiting room. 😳 Shorter wait time means something baaaaaad is happening to me. 😬 Turns out I needed emergency surgery, so yay. 😅👀

They misplaced my chart, they told me to wait 3x over 14 hours. The nurse who checked me in the previous day recognized me after returning to her next shift.

My mom is a nurse and she always told me “you are fine to wait bc if they are rushing you back you’ve got a big problem”

I once went to the hospital with the flu symptoms+ pain in my chest, nurse in charge of triage looked me straight in the eye, gave me a green label (meaning I wasn't in danger) and I waited 5hours to be seen by a doctor. fun times! my first time having pneumonia tho not the last

Went to get a lunar puncture today. Got there on time for 12:30. Waited it was almost 1:40. The hospital called me while I was in there waiting room asking if I still want the procedure. 😂 The check in nurse told them I was here the whole time.....the arrival board never showed me on their screen. Finally got it done at 2 pm bc "luckily" they could still do it 🤦♀️🤦♀️

waited 2 hours for my daughter to go back to get stitches removed, waiting is a good thing means your reason for being there is not life or death. if your in the er cuz a kid bring things your kid likes make the situation comfortable not worrying

Waiting with my broken wrist on ice in the ER waiting room. And mother with 3 very active children is waiting because one of them is sick. They were ripping posters off the walls, crawling under chairs. Her husband shows up. Says something to her and leaves! I never did figure out which kid was sick. I was seen before all of them. I do recall when my kids were small and got a fever, they were not active at all.

the parents that dont give Tylenol because "i wanted you to see the fever" inadvertently acknowledging that they dont actually need to be there, since the Tylenol breaks the fever, you know, pike its supposed to

I was mad because I stood 4 hours waiting for the results of a HEART MONITOR STUDIO my mom had, on the ER. they stabilized her, but we needed the results to see what happened. I was mad, pissed off, then I saw that each time the doctor tried to go read the results, a shock came into trauma, like seizure, shot gun, blue code... My mom was stable, at least, so... We waited.
