Reeve is like on my top 5 favorite characters ever his character development is INSANE. He's always been a side character of his own life, letting things happen silently. Then he meets people who actually fight against their fate and it makes him want to do something as well, so much that he becomes a beacon of hope for people in Dirge

He was my first favorite ff7 character. I named a backyard kitten who visited me everyday “Cait.” I had a glass door in my old apartment, and through that glass door, he would put his paw up and watch me play on the television early in the morning. Funny enough, when this scene played, that’s when I first met him. He visited me everyday and I fed him sausages and milk to keep him going. I even named my Cait Sith on my other gameplay “Cait” just so it could resemble the kitten more. One day, he never came back. He must’ve been taken in by some family not too far from me. This is a photo of him from 7 years ago. My father thought it would be funny to put a filter over him. I love Cait Sith.

reeve and cait sith are my favorite characters, i think ever. reeve's development as himself (backing down from president shinra in disc 1 to calling avalanche in front of scarlet and heidegger at the end of disc 2) and through cait sith (EVERYTHING with the spy plot makes me cry) is so good and so overlooked by both the players and the actual game. i love the idea of reeve and cait sith being separate from each other but still connected by reeve making and sometimes talking through cait sith, but that idea for me always falters at this specific point in the game. i really cant tell whos speaking in the gold saucer, so ive always just kind of considered the dialogue being both of them speaking together. theres no way to tell if its reeve being so jaded from working with shinra for so long that he doesnt understand doing something just to do something, or if its cait sith whose just kind of naive, cait sith had only ever worked with shinra and specifically with the turks, he hadnt seen anything wrong with being a spy, but the reaction he got from avalanche made him actually stop and question their way of life instead of just accepting his own as right. idk those are my thoughts on this scene, it makes me cry and i consider it cait sith's turning point and where he and reeve are on exactly the same page in regards to shinra. i love reeve and his robot cat <3

this happens like 2 mins before he reveals he kidnapped Marlene and Aerith’s mom to force you to keep him in the party and Reeve’s bum ass still sat there while Scarlett and Heidegger bitched him into letting Midgar get obliterated 💀💀 i’d understand if we were defending Remake Cait but OG Cait genuinely sucked balls dawg 💀🙏
