In those moments, it’s so important that we: 1️⃣ Give ourselves grace bc we’re human. 2️⃣ Keep the client informed - I like to keep it simple & direct “hey, so [event] happened because [short reason]. So I’m going to do [solution].” Keep it simple. Don’t over complicate, over explain or spiral. 3️⃣ don’t do that thing where you try to fix the mistake without telling the client (the ole “I’m gonna mix up a special treatment”) like clients can see right through your bullshit & it only reduces trust & increases anxiety on both sides when we do that. 4️⃣ breathe.
