I’ve alway been interested in freemasonry. My uncle was a mason for over 60 years. Was a member of Commandery 21 Knights Templar, Chapter 139 Royal Arch Masons and Council 38 Royal & Select Masons, as well as many other Masonic affiliations. In 2018 he was the recipient of the Knight Templar Cross of Honor. This was his most proud moment as a Mason.

I come from a line of Masons. Grew up being drug to OES meetings as a child (I always wanted the sword). But I am an atheist and can't swear my faith. Free Masonry has always held an interest but I'd have to lie to myself to take the oath.

What does it take to become a Freemason? Do I have to be invited? Or do I have to apply? I’ve always been interested on joining a fraternal brotherhood to improve myself and to improve my community. We have a mason larger where we live. But I can never seem to get a hold of anybody.

My father was a 33° Mason. He was a Past Master, Grand Chancellor of Illinois, among many other things. The ONLY reason my mom went on a date with my dad was because she saw he had a Masonic ring on. Her father was a Freemason in the Philippines. My dad kept asking her on dates, she kept declining…until she saw his ring.
