@amberarchrivalry: Stop treating uncured gel like Play-Doh. Stop teaching other people they can do this! Your hands, your career, and your future ability to wear nail products are worth more than a stupid hack. Yeah as someone with an acrylate allergy I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy

Making a silicone mold of a finger is just as cheap buying gel polish btw.

Listen, I used to make epoxy tumblers when that was very popular and I eventually developed a permanent allergy to epoxy. I can no longer be anywhere near it and it caused my lungs to bleed and gave me hives. I never knew that was a thing until it happened to me. I have to be careful around renovations or places under construction because of it.

Ok hear me out. Thin layer of liquid latex (skin grade) THEN use the gel. I work in fx this is often a hack used when something non skin safe needs to come in contact with an actor.

would jean material be a good alternative for this effect? I don't want to expose myself but I do like that effect

im sure people think that its just a rash that will disappear 🤦🏼♀️i ended up getting an allergy after 7 years & it wasn't because of stupidity like this. (i used to wear gloves constantly but unfortunately i wasn't using the correct ones) its horrendous, it itched that bad i used to itch it with a fork or something similar. It was so itchy and sore, it lasted 4 years, it really was horrendous. luckily my hands/fingers are ok now. 💅🏼

Rather than using your own fingerprint to achieve this look which don’t get me wrong looks so authentic in the end design, but what I would do is use my silicone practice finger… Not that I’ve tried it, but I think it would work🤗

Girl, we breathe acetone and alcohol vapors, as well as dust particles from nails, and many people develop latex allergies from gloves. Applying gel to the skin is probably one of the most harmless in our industry.

I could be wrong, but to me that doesn't look like pat pat gel. The way it looks while on her finger makes it looks like acrylic paint. again I could be wrong.
