This happened to me and my daughter one night when we were out walking with my youngest son in the stroller. We came across a teenage kid that had OD'd at the park and was on the sidewalk. It absolutely scared the immortal crap out of us. We thought he was dead. We hadn't planned on taking a walk, my autistic son was having a meltdown unexpected so we didn't have phones on us. We tried to wave a couple of people down the road, but they didn't stop. Finally getting closer to the kid and touching him a couple of times he jumped up and in the exact same manner freaked out said he was fine and then just took off. The kid was obviously not fine and just scared of getting in trouble. As a nurse it breaks my heart to see that we care more about punishing someone than helping them.

im pretty sure the good sumaritan law in nation wide. it protects all involved parties from being arrested or getting in trouble
