I’m an alcoholic. Do I WANT to drink alcohol? Damn straight. WILL I drink? Not today. I tried AA and just couldn’t get into. You can only hear the same stories so many times before you check out. I’m… 16 months sober tomorrow. I made it long enough to get my 1 year chip. Honestly the last 4 months not being reminded about it weekly has been cake. My wife doesn’t drink (one of those freaks who just doesn’t) and my daughter doesn’t drink at home. I forget for weeks at a time that I’m an alcoholic. But I never forget I’m not drinking… today.

I'm also on this exact journey, I'm on day 3. Also I was not "heavily drinking" per say, but, daily or every other day 3-4 drinks. cheers to sobriety and taking back our control! proud of you!! 🙏❤️

It takes a lot of self awareness and courage to recognize potential destructive behavior in yourself, it takes more to be willing to take action to address it and it takes even more to step out and share this process publicly. You should be proud of what you’ve already done - I know we are! You’ve got a community behind you cheering you on and I pray those voices are always louder for you than any force working against you. Congrats on taking this first really hard step!

I walked away from alcohol 8 years ago, when I hit my lowest point of my life. My Daddy had just passed away, a job fell threw, I was drinking from the time my feet hit the floor til the time I couldn't stand anymore. Went through some crazy blind dates. One day I decided I didn't want to do it anymore, that I was tired of feeling the way I did. I prayed to God to heal what was broken in me. I left my life in His hands & vowed that I accepted whatever path He chose for me. In 2022 I met my now Hubby & my life changed sooo much, for the better. I'm so proud of you. I personally love your daily devotions, maybe that's something you could share in your vids. ❤️

I’ve been sober since February 28,2021 and I did absolutely drink every single day from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep and always for the same purpose, to get drunk! Alcoholism looks different for everyone but I don’t think you have a problem love bug but I understand as we get older alcohol makes us feel worse and worse the next day. I’m here to support you in every choice you make friend❤️If you ever want to talk about this or if you need to just vent about wanting a drink I’m here! Love you boo🫶🏼
