Not even trying to be rude here, you’re just so off the mark. As a southerner we all do this. Everyone is always saying y’all constantly no matter what not matter how many people there are. So if someone is portraying a southern constantly saying y’all they’re being so accurate

have you never been around anyone thats from the south or Midwest? 99% of people who live in the south and Midwest use y'all all the fucking time to refuse to both groups of people and a singular person, i have literally grown up in the Midwest and there isn't a single day i dont hear the word y'all used to refer to one person, i need to to realize that your trying to apply grammatical logic to a word that is used by two parts of the states that almost never give a damn about being grammatically correct, we literally say all y'all (which is usually how we use the word for groups of people y'all alone =one person, all y'all =more than one person) as well as use bless your heart as something that could mean a multitude of things depending on the tone of the person's voice so please if you don't understand the fluidity of the words/terms of parts of the states that you dont live in please stop telling people that the use of the word/term is wrong without looking at the context of the situation

As a Texan, and the only person in my family with my strong ass accent. Strong to the point I can’t use those voice changers in CapCut cause it can’t tell what I’m saying. I laugh my ass off when I see an actor that’s so clearly not from the south but the character is and the writers have no idea how to actually write southern slang.

I say y’all naturally and I don’t understand the ppl who use it in writting constantly, I’m not southern at all but I just naturally started saying stuff like Y’all,Ya,Aint and em on a daily basis idk where I get it from bc I’m a white Mexican guy from California so 😭
