I feel like it isn’t just Jean SAing MJ but Peter as well. Maybe she didn’t think about it too deeply as a deeply traumatized person who probably (it’s unclear) isn’t even an adult yet but that doesn’t make her actions any more wrong. I think she’s supposed to be a bad person and people seemed to disregard that because she either young or “pretty”, it doesn’t help that the movie doesn’t really focus on the fact Peter got violated as well, it’s mostly focused on MJ. (not to disregard MJ tho, she definitely needed more because of the mind control aspect I’m just saying I feel like Peter could have used another scene digesting that.)

They’re both evil and they both violated others, but I think people are more intense about Bear because he feels more real whereas Jean is a super villain, if that makes any sense

I really like how properly messed up Jean is, most adaptations ignore the fact that she has ISSUES that she never really deals with because she was taught by Charles “repress repress repress” Xavier to just put a lid on her emotions and hope they go away

I think something that people are missing here is that Jean Gray is a stereotypical evil in the sense that most of the shit she does is through her powers. Bear is unfortunately a very real evil you might find ANYWHERE with ANYONE close or not. Bear is worse because his actions are closer to reality than Jean Grays. That’s how I see it at least. However yes I do agree Jean Gray was fucked up to do what she did. I’m not sure if I explained myself well

Jean grey did much worse than bear tbh 😂 bear ruined 4 lives Jean not only tried to ruin Peter’s but you have to put thing into perspective when she controlled that tank at the start of the movie you think she didn’t unalive dozens of people 😂😂 take the movie logic out the window she randomly had an old guy walk into oncoming traffic she caused so much damage and if anything she is probably the reason mutants will be hunted down
