idk why people are twisting the story. charli never claimed to have created the renegade dance &neither was it the main reason she became famous…yes, it was one of the most popular videos but she was already blowing up and getting “hype”. during that time nobody gave credit for dances until the story of jalaiah came out, and charli has been giving credits under every dance video she posts since. once the story became popular that the original creator was jalaiah, she gained a platform and made this video with charli and addison at an nba game they were invited to. still, i do believe it should’ve been credited to jalaiah from the beginning even if it was something as simple as a tiktok dance, however, i don’t think it should be blamed on charli bc she didn’t choose to be famous off it neither did she know who made the video bc everyone was doing it and not crediting..
